A brief glance at the HP Home & Office store and you’ll notice something is missing. So what has happened to the HP Mini 110 series?
While the HP Mini 110 Studio Tord edition is still available, the standard HP Mini 110 is no longer listed. It appears as if HP has given it the “axe” to make way for the HP Mini 210, HP Mini 210 HD and Compaq Mini CQ10.
Its not necessarily official, but it seems HP has discontinued the beloved HP Mini 110 (standard) series.
Still want one? Amazon.com still has a slew of HP Mini 110 models that you can purchase. Peter at Netbooked has also just put up his review for the Mini 110 with some fantastic information there.
I got an HP Mini 110 for Christmas and it’s worth noting that it came with an Atheros Wifi card that has no OSX drivers (kexts) available for it. I figured out the problem when I noticed the sticker on the bottom of the machine. I ordered the Broadcom 4312 b/g card that is in the Mini 1000 and other Mini 110s (not to be confused with the Broad com 4321 card which has 802.11n and bluetooth on it) and installed it myself…problem solved. Now that the mini is discontinued anyone looking to pick up some being liquidated should be aware of this…I am guessing it is a trend in newer Minis (mine came with a 32gb SSD if that has any significance.)
i lately baught a mini 110 and while doing some work i decided to plug in my Black Berry and two hours later after working i turn it on and it doesn’t seems to moving from the boot screen (Loading Windos XP). I’ve tried reloading the O.S. using an external drive but the Harddrive doesn’t appair for me to load the O.S. Please Help me, Somebody please!
