Not sure if it can be done, I'll look into it though!![]()

Not sure if this is possible, but would there be any way to indicate the forum name, and not just the sub-forum name, in the advanced search results?
For example, if I go to the main board index and click on "View active topics", I receive a list of search results with the post title, user name, date, and the sub-forum name listed. The problem is that sub-forum names are not unique, and not necessarily descriptive. So if a post is titled "Wireless problem" and is in the sub-forum "Hardware and Hacks Related", it could be in the 110 section or it could be in the 311 section - there is no way to know without opening it.
Even worse, a post could be in the "General Discussion" sub-forum. Then it could be in the 1000, 110, 210, 311, 2140, 5101, or even the "other netbook" section! :?
Thanks

Sorry, nothing so far. I'm sure there is a way, but I'm not familiar too much with phpbb and its functions.![]()

I've also been casually looking for this option for my own forum, but not with any priority.
A request was made in the phpBB forum here, back in May 2008:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p4764635
And another one here in the same month:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p5607575
And an even older request:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5#p3230305
None were answered with any useful info, and a search of released mods and mods in development yielded nothing useful
I could cobble something together as a change to the existing search_results.html file if I were motivated enough. I'm not, though, as this feature is not very important to me the way my forum is laid out.
