Did they also lower the price on the 80gig SSD? its now only 375.. much more inline with the retail price drop on the intels. Course.... still cheaper to go with a quickbuy and swap in the retail intel drive.. but good to know that they eventually caught up on price...

I forgot to get the SKU # from the dude for faster look-up. It appears the XP Home Basic isn't normally a "business" product so it got left off of the website. The sales rep said he had just gotten a customer looking for the exact same thing -- but he told him it didn't exist and now he felt bad. He had been told that all the models were on the web-site.

I am pleased that they've finally released the HD screen, however being from the UK i imagine it'll be another couple of months before its available over here, so spare a thought for us - one week is nothing!

I'm looking forward to looking at photos + user reviews (with jealousy) when they appear. I will certainly be getting myself one of these when the HD screen does become available in the UK.

I found this page on HP site so I ordered it before the price changed. Same price as the lo res screen.
FM839UT#ABA is the model number. Today's a great day to buy a netbook. Now I wait.

I may be alone on this one...but I am disappointed they don't have a smart buy pre-configured model with the 3-cell battery. I don't want the 6-cell battery; i don't want the extra weight or the way it sticks out so much...it ruins the great compact design the computer has!

Hopefully they will come out with a 3-cell HD display version.
