Super Extended Battery?

New postby CJisohsocool » Sat Mar 21, 2009 4:50 pm

Well I was looking around and I found out that the 2133 battery works with the 2140 so the 9cell 2133 Mugen battery should also work with the 2140. Probably get over 10 hours with this thing.

Ok the 6cell battery you get with HP is a 55watt, the Mugen is 78watt.
The 6cell gets 7hours 19 minutes according to laptopmag.com
7 hours and 19 minutes is a total of 439 minutes
439 divided by 55 is 7.98
7.98 times 78 is 623
623 minutes is 10 hours and 39 minutes

So. In Theory the 9cell Mugen battery will make the 2140 last 10 hours and 39 minutes.

PS: I feel so smart thinking that up <3

Please refer to posting.php?mode=quote&f=23&p=5463 my message regards this item BUT please be advised that this is "really" a pre-order item as I am STILL waiting for the eten folks to receive a first new product shipment from Mugen, which was forecast on 10 Mar but never happened...unfortunately they got payed with paypal funds, notcredit card where they wouldnot have the money till shipment....

Here's the early test results of the Mugen Power 11.1V 7800mAh battery on the 2140.

FWIW

Seems to replace the HP 6 Cell quite well. Mugen advises several deep cycle discharges and recharges at first then periodically. I used Battery Eater v2.70 to run it thru to discharge and give this report.

What mode was battery eater running in? I was going to run a test on my configuration and post it for comparison -- but I wanted to make sure I was posting apples to apples...

As is indicated on the report, I believe, Classic Mode.

How fast does that battery charge? does it still do the "super fast" charge mode that the factory one does? I'm finding this fast charge thing pretty dang awesome... I can chuck the thing on the charger in the morning when I wake up -- by the time I head out the door it has a full charge.

Just how "fast" is the HP 6 cell on recharge? I've used it and the Mugen and have noted little percieved difference.?
