I want to buy a HP Mini 110 - 1030CA and wanted to know if the vid-out works with a mac osx so that I can use it with a external screen?
Also, wanted to confirm that 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, & 8 work as well on this specific model!

I have iDeneb on my new 5101.. Audio works (speakers and jacks), the touchpad works EXCELLENTLY with nawcom's touchpad patched drivers, video works flawlessly (haven't tried the VGA port) with nawcom's patched GMA950 drivers, BT works out of the box, webcam doesn't work (I havent even TRIED to get it working though), both wifi and gigabit ethernet is not working, SD/SDHC reader works flawlessly as well.

My main focus right now is the wifi and ethernet. Despite this page (http://greyhead.co.uk/wiki/Installing_Mac_OS_X_on_the_HP_Mini_2140), they are NOT working. I'll post back here when I discover anything new.

BTW, the wifi is Broadcom 4322AG and the ethernet is Marvell-Yukon 88E8072. Changing the device id in the AppleYukon kext doesnt work, despite what the page linked above says. All that gets working is OSX detecting if a cable is plugged in or not. Network connectivity doesn't actually work.

Sound works okay - iTunes works, but the "master" volume maxes out at about half of what I'd expect to be the actual volume.
Bluetooth, not sure, doesn't seem to show up?
Trackpad works okay.
Card reader there is none.
Audio input - don't know.

Actually, if you change the sound from "master" to "PCM", you'll get your volume back.

Well I have a HP Mini 110-1016LA working under Mac OS X 10.5.8 everything goes fine, except from the ethernet and the Microphone, it doesn't haz bluethoot, but I have a Mini External BT and goes well sleep is working and Quartz Extreme is enabled... I am very happy for having my iHack Mini!!!

^Just curious: are you using 10.5.8 default kernel as well as system and seatbelt kext AND have sleep working on you 110-1016LA? Or did you swap it with those of 10.5.7's?
If you're able to get sleep/resume working with the default 10.5.8 stuff then please tell us how you did it - what kext did you use? Thanks in advance

Does HP still sell the Mini 1000? I had a Dell Mini 9 which I OSX'd but found it too small so now I'm looking at the HP Mini. I'm a total newb to their models. I went on the HP shopping site looking for the 1000 and all I found were the the 110 XP and 110 Mi models.

I want a HP with the most OSX functionality possible, so that's the 1000, right?

Thanks and apologies for the newb questions. I'm just getting started.

I'm currently installing Leo on my new Mini 311-1005TU.

Ill report back with the functionality in a little bit once i tinker however Wi-Fi is working out of the box

You can also look for compaq mini 700 series, it is the same hardware as the HP mini 1000. o
