I used NBI 0.8.2 RC4 as an installer-flash this weekend. Works well, but you have to be careful post-install with the kext and dsdt settings. Wifi and screen resolution are working well. I only upgraded my 10.5.1 to 10.5.6 for now. No audio. Other things to test later.
Overall, I find OSX runs much better on my Dell Mini 9, than on this HP (110-1030CA). With further mods, I'll see if I can remedy that.
EDIT: OK, now sound works @100% volume (VoodooHDA; PCM output), also NetBookInstaller repaired my kernel 10.5.6 corruption and brought the mini back to booting. Also installed Quartz. TimeMachine backup to SDHC (local). Have the trackpad usable with click and two-finger scroll (Dell Mini version for Synaptics). So far, like most others, I don't have ethernet working and sleep is TBD -haven't had time to close the lid ... LOL. So I take back my previous criticsms ... the HP Mini110-1030CA is a nice HackinTosh afterall.
