You should test first of course and you may come back at me to feed to the 3 headed monster for false prophesy if it turns out unhappy and not a real ending - I deserve it anyway.

For a short short summary of the resolution:
1. Install retail Vanilla Leo 10.5.6 where stock WiFi is recognized fine.
2. Install Snow Leo 10.6 on top of 10.5 (GPT of course - you already know the drill very well).
WiFi should still be recognized and working - I'm too unfortunate to fall victim to "BTCoexistence feature not supported!" phenomenon due to my 311's stock WiFi card that comes combo with bluetooth but those blessed with the normalcy of a non-combo module should fare better.

I have tried "thebubzie" and it did not work for me. I can not upgrade to 10.5.6, 10.5.7 or 10.5.8 via software upgrade. Where can I get Vanilla Leo 10.5.6?

I have a mini 110-1025DX and from what I can see my HP falls in this category... does that mean I can do this upgrade method? I want to know before I go and buy a copy of 10.5.5 and SL.

^ A few people have tried this and it hasnt work.

thebubzie "claims" he got it to work. But I am starting to doubt this person ever got it work and might be a hoax. No screenshots, tutorial and much help from "thebubzie" either.

I dont know, what do you guys think? He seems to be the only person with a mini 110 that got it to work.

Agreed, I've tried it several times with several different strategies and started to think so myself.
Besides, even if it does work, I'd much prefer finding a method to get it working from Vanilla SL without any prereqs.

I'm actually not sure; I don't know how to dump the SSPROM, and I thought we already have the ones that we need.
Wonder where Drexus and prasys went...
They'll probably have an idea of next steps.
Can anyone get into contact with them?

This is where we are right now:

#1: I can try an install of LEO using the aforementioned method (forget what it was just now) to gain wifi via upgrading from 10.5 all the way to 10.6 - somehow retaining components in the system that allow the wifi to be handled by some legacy settings/code.

#2: Try to run the new fwcutter tool by frankensteining the kernel of a particular version of Ubuntu in a specific mode - thus allowing the acquisition of the sprom from my 110-1115CA. This act will provide a verifiable cross-reference to ensure that modification of the BCM rom will be for everyone and not just solve one persons wifi and brick everyone elses.

My take on both approaches: I like option #1, as it proposes the potential of identifying specific elements that might aid a turn-key solution to everyone else. However, the path is unclear at best with no fool-proof guide to the install process.

Option #2 has it's highlights too. However, the narrow chance of me actually getting to a stage where the rom extraction can take place, is not looking too good. I have little to no experience with Ubuntu much less linux code credentials.

I'm willing to perform any walk-throught that is presented, sans major holes in logic or assumed steps that are quietly stepped over with stilts.

Proposing an idea is as useful as a glass of water in a burning building. If you want me to perform something, give me a video of exactly what was done from a vanilla state (and not a state where 2 days of preparation was done ahead of time) "To change your clutch is easy, just pull out the tranny with your trusty trans-lift rig, and drop it out. Now for the first part..."

^I'm trying #1 but not on a Mini 110 - but a Mini 311 (same case: stock wifi works in Leo and not in Snow Leo). I'd install Leopard on an external HD hooked up to a working hackintosh installation and run Leo installer from OSInstall.mpkg off of the retail DVD image. Then update the installation on the ext HD to 10.5.7 (I'm unable to install 10.5.8 ComboUpdater; the hackintosh system I'm using to do this is running Snow Leo).

Then I'd boot off of the ext HD to verify that wifi is running. Before I used NetbookBootMaker but then that creates a ramdisk that I don't know how to get rid off completely, so when I upgrade to Snow Leo, it messes up kexts loaded at boot.

Now, I'll be using Psystar's Rebel EFI as a separate booter running from a spare usb flashdrive to boot both Leo 10.5.7 and then Snow Leo 10.6. Basically, what that implies, is that I'm not touching anything on the external HD - everything's stock installed - "Vanilla". EDIT: Rebel EFI hangs at boot for Leo 10.5.7. I'm restarting with base Leo install on GPT ext HD, then update to 10.5.6 first and then setup EFI with necessary Leo kexts and Cham v2 RC3 r658 to make the ext HD bootable. Skipping 10.5.6 and jumping to 10.5.7 then to 10.5.8, I couldn't enable WiFi.

The first time I tried this (had wiped out my 311 completely blank for this), "Snow Leo on top of Leo" as I call thebubzie's discovery, I had some success in getting the 311's stock BCM94312HMGB wifi card recognized as AirPort in Snow Leo. However, as I recall, it was painstaking to be able to boot into the resulting Snow Leo installation; one thing was for sure that kinda discouraged me was that I couldn't use my normal fresh Snow Leo install boot configuration to boot up that "Snow Leo on top of Leo" install. No QE, no audio - AirPort was the only consolation. But I'm trying again now.

This is just describing how to keep Vanilla state of Leo installation.

EDIT: I don't remember anymore how I did last time. . .but I'm running out of patience... :( best of luck to you guys.

I had some ideas this weekend on trying to install Snow-Leo on top of Leo and using NetbookBootMaker install on my 1031nr with no luck. With installing on top of 10.5, it goes part way and then the Mini reboots itself. That way is no good. The best I can do is with NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 to install it it works ok but still no WiFi, no sound and no camera. I do the way that LeMaurien had laid out. I do not see any packages like OSInstall.mpkg on my USB Drive that I make. How do you access them? What is NetbookInstaller 0.8.3 used for? What files can I use to get those 3 things working?
