can you plug in an external monitor?

I tried that and it works ok. But now it goes up to 48 minutes left in the install and then it reboots. I am unable to install it this way.

Same here, got the same thing as you. However, I've been able to "upgrade" by booting from the SL install drive. Don't know how this differs from a regular upgrade, but my WiFi wasn't working afterwards. It's probably because I took the same IO80211Family.kext from 10.5.6, though.
Anyone know how to use vanilla 10.5.8's IO80211Family and edit it to work? I've tried editing the plist and adding the correct ID, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything.

I can not start the install because "Continue" is cut off. does anyone have ideas what I can do to start the install?

I have 10.5.5 on my 110-1031nr. I can not upgrade to 10.5.6, 10.5.7 or 10.5.8. I used an external monitor and try to upgrade to 10.6 with an external DVD Drive. The install starts, but when it gets to 48 minutes left, it reboots and I still have 10.5.5. Can anyone give me ideas on how to go to 10.6?

I have exactly the same model as you (HP Mini 110-1125 / Atom 1.6 GHz / 1 GB RAM / 160 GB / 10.1 Screen / with Windows 7 Starter). I have been reading this topic. My HP Mini has bluetooth/wifi combo card, does yours also has the combo card? Will it work on mine?

Ok, when I upgrade to Snow Leopard I don't know why i get a Kernel Panic when booting. Fortunately my other partition is fully working with iDeneb so I gonna try again later. This is the second time I tried and get the Kernel Panic, what am I doing wrong?

After you upgrade to SL, try booting into your external USB drive, but when you get to the HD screen, boot into your Mini's HD instead.
HP Mini 110 Have gotten 10.5.6 with WiFi, 10.5.8, and 10.6.0.

First, not sure if we're supposed to or are allowed to upload kexts...(If this is bad, someone pls say and I'll pull it off pronto  ).

Try loading the attached to your /S/L/E to replace the original (10.6.x) one.

EDIT: Pulled the file, as it did not work for some...

Or you can put in Extras/Extensions, but some others are needed also to be added to resolve dependancies when building the mkext cache for Extensions (IONetwork, IONDriver ? can't remember...)

Works for me on a different machine using 4315 Broadcom.

Ok, no WiFi but I got Bluetooth, anyways Im gonna try again (another wait of 1 hour :| ) because I thing I messed up the kexts, because neither my mouse or my keyboard are working, maybe today im not gonna try again, but maybe tomorrow.

PS. I was surprised how fast did Snow Leopard boot, like 20 seconds or less, amazing.

UPDATE:

Ohh and I already discover why I got the Kernel Panic at boot ;) , I was booting with Chameleon lol, I forgot I needed to boot with NetbookBootMaker or any other EFI bootloader.

UPDATE
@thebubzie Can you explain a little bit more your process at upgrading and getting wifi, like, for example: I install Leopard 10.5.6 retail, Install Kexts, Repair Permission, Update to 10.5.8, Install Kexts, Upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6 Retail, Install Kexts. Something like that please, I need to know exactly when you installed the kexts, and if you repair permission, and other things you did, and also can you specify what kexts did you install. :D

Thanks

Hi olamundo. The kext I attached above is based on earlier releases, but is 10.6.2 compatible. You ought to be able to install or upgrade straight to 10.6.2 * then drop that kext in place (replacing the standard one). Not sure if it's generic enough to drive your specific card, but it works for mine. ie: standard 10.6.2 kext = no WiFi. this kext with 10.6.2 makes WiFi work.
* Of course, you need to ensure the correct kexts in Extra/Extensions for booting 10.6.x is OK, but if you use NBM/NBI methods all that should be taken care of "automatically".

Hi humph, some quick questions, which is your model of the HP Mini? Is your card the wifi/bluetooth combo? And the last and most important questions, Are you telling me that I can have wifi on my HP Mini 110 1125 on Snow Leopard 10.6.2 with the kext you upload?
