I've used Roxio's Toast on OS X/9 and it is a solid product. I haven't used the Back on Track though so I have no idea on it as a solution.
Fry's will also pull that same crap and charge to reinstall Redmond - extremely lame - especially since the machine doesn't come with any means with which to allow the end user to perform the task. If the user is expected to create a back up HP should go to extensive lengths to inform the user as part of the unpacking - or just include a USB rom drive to perform the task - it would cost almost nothing and make up for their failed solution.

I too miss the days when the disks came with the PC, but I'm not too ticked off that I had to get them in this round about kind of way.
can you please create an iso and share it to us?thank you
No CD/DVD came with mine. If your looking for a full recovery set, then you will have to go to HP/Compaq. If however your just looking for Windows XP Home edition, you can just look around online for an .iso. Most torrents have them, but you can even find on some legit sites non-p2p versions. Burn it to a DVD and your good to go. You will still need to create a Boot USB and copy the files to it. After your XP is installed you can go to HP/Compaq websites and download all available drivers.
On a side note, Windows 7 works wayyyy better and faster on the 110 then XP does, so its worth the upgrade.
