Win7 upgrade: Mini 110- Display driver failure

New postby chrissl223 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:33 pm

Hi, I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 on my HP mini 110, ever since I have been having trouble... after the display turns off and i go to use it again the display flickers and comes back with a windows message "the display driver stopped working and was recovered." I have the correct Intel GMA driver installed and I have reinstalled and double checked it numerous times to no avail. In my device manager it has an exclamation point next to video controller, and there are no drivers found/installed for it.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows whats wrong, it's starting to do it even when im in the middle of working and sometimes the display just dosent come back... which as you can imagine is a real pain in the a**!!! Also, i called hp tech support and they refused to help since I upgraded to Windows 7, which is absolutely rediculous... also I have the hd screen and no Broadcom decoder card (yet, I just ordered one tho as a way of trying to get around this issue and for a cheap upgrade).

Thanks in advance!
