We knew that the HP Mini 5103 would get dual-core, but it was a surprise that the HP Mini 210 was getting a refresh too.

On twitter last night, HP CTO Phil McKinney posted two pictures with him holding two gadgets and wearing something on his wrist–the mysterious gadgets were unfortunately blacked out.
According to an HP Mini 5103 service manual there will be an upgrade coming out soon for an optional Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor.

It was only time before several amazing forum members figured out how to overclock the HP Mini 311′s Atom CPU. The problem was that there were no available tools or methods to overclock the Intel Atom, which is part of the NVIDIA ION chipset…until now.

We all know that the HP Mini 311 coupled with the NVidia ION (LE) can play Call of Duty 4, which is quite impressive…but that is only with Call of Duty. How does it perform with other demanding games?

HP has just released the Maintenance and Service Guide for the HP Mini 311. What is nice about this manual is that it not only shows how to disassemble, upgrade, etc. but it also shows the FUTURE upgrades that HP will be releasing to the HP Mini 311 series.
UPDATE: OK so its officially confirmed that the HP Mini 311 will be available this week, Wednesday September 23. It will start at $399 and the Windows 7 version will be available October 18th.
